Our city is a thriving endurance athlete hotspot. In 2014, people from around the world voted Duluth as Outside Magazine’s “Best Place to Live”. In addition the city was rated by Outside Magazine as a “Top Ten Dream Town” in 2001 and runner-up “Best Adventure Hub” in 2013. Trail Runner Magazine has ranked the city in the “7 Top Trail Towns”. Duluth is also home to Grandma’s Marathon, which draws more than 17,000 participants each June.
The transition and finish area of the Superior Man are within a short walking distance to beaches, theaters, hotels, and numerous restaurants and retail stores.
