I enjoyed this book, the characters are great except for Simon, I loved Eden, Morwenna, Courtney, Dion, and Levan. She was with a husband who was a stranger to the truth and when all his secrets came out, she was left with nothing. Levan is a 'cyber security expert using using a seafront shelter as a'ecurity location' on phone to Dion. Took me a while to get into the story of Eden and Levan, but you ended up hoping they will stay together.

After being betrayed by her husband she has to re-evaluate her life and move back in with her mother. I really felt for Eden with all that she had been through, but Levan has his own issues that are gradually revealed during the book. Three generations of her family are all featured and the strength of their family ties adds to the heartwarming appeal.As she gets to know Levan more she begins to think that he could be different until she finds out he isn’t what he seems either. The writing is so descriptive, I could almost hear the waves crashing on the rocks as I was reading. When she and her grandmother Iris meet their new next door neighbour Levan, Iris can't help but feel attracted to him.

The confrontation wasn't as final, and I could easily imagine Simon coming back, but he's a complete slimeball. Having lunch with her granny after a morning of roasting beans they notice a man (Levan) in his speedos, on his head , in the garden next door. A new owner of the cottage next door, might just be the one person who maybe able to change her thinking.A Secret Cornish Summer is blissful story, full of sunshine, secrets and Phillipa’s trademark romance, that I loved diving into.

Combines romance, humour and intrigue so well … The whole thing was so captivating, and I loved that there were secrets peppered and hinted at throughout … that I was desperate to uncover. The state it was a hard stressful job and how glad they were when in 1998 all light houses became altomated. The setting is gorgeous, but I had trouble warming to the heroine, Eden, and wasn't certain I would like her grandmother and mother. Iris for sure was my favourite character, especially the scene with Eden, Levan, and Simon, in her cottage. Helping them to move forward, leaving parts of their past behind to create and achieve a new bright and happy future.Dion met Levon in the army but 'they were very much civilians now, although their experience in the military had cast a shadow over both their lives'. I just seem to devour her books once I start reading them because they are so easy to get into and to read. The descriptions of the cottages and the lighthouse are so vivid that you can really picture what Eden is seeing as she goes to work and back home to the cottages. Grab yourself a copy of A Secret Cornish Summer if you need something to read by the pool this summer.

Set in a beautiful location, based around a lighthouse, this book will have you dreaming of the coastline of Cornwall. However i wasn’t counting on spending the whole morning just reading the book without stopping until I had finished. When Eden steps out of her beautiful coastal cottage to find a Speedo-wearing, suntanned stranger doing yoga in next door's garden, she is immediately on her guard. Having read a number of this authors other books I was delighted to receive an ARC of this novel and looked forward to reading it but I'm sad to say I was disappointed. Duped out of her money, her home, and her future, she has no desire to feel attracted to another man for a long time.
