I would like to read this book to my kids and they have said that they have read a lot of these books but they haven't read billion boy. The hilarious, extraordinary but also touching fable of a Billionaire Boy is the new addition from the well-known comedian, turned author, David Walliams.

Raj, the kindly newsagent, finds Joe sleeping in a skip and talks over with Joe about his situation.Bob accepts but they soon find out on TV that Mr Spud had lost his fortune as everyone is suing him because Bumfresh is making everyone's bottom go purple. A stage musical adaptation, based on the book, premiered lyrics by Miranda Cooper with songwriting partner Nick Coler. This particular book will not have you or your child roll in laughter as it’s more about exaggeration than anything else.

Billionaire Boy received positive praise from reviews by newspapers such as The Guardian [2] and The Express. Previous bestsellers RATBURGER and GANGSTA GRANNY were also immediate number one hits, and the paperback of GANGSTA GRANNY dominated the UK charts in 2013, remaining at number one for a colossal 22 weeks. but the difference when compared to the tons of similar stories out there is in its presentation - incredibly witty, funny deliverance when you can really feel the author did enjoy writing this one very much as well as you can glimpse at his life optimism and comedian talent behind (the book’s) every line - and surely appreciate it [the talent]. Since the publication of his ground-breaking first novel, The Boy in the Dress (2008), Walliams has seen unprecedented growth with global sales exceeding 45 million copies, and his books translated into 55 languages.Originally published in 2010, this fairly new fiction masterpiece has even been created into a film just six years after originally being published. David and Tony also collaborated on the 2017 World Book Day title, BLOB, and on the blockbuster collections, The World s Worst Children 1, 2 and 3. The story revolves around a boy named Joe, who has many reasons to be happy, well about a billion of them in fact. I thought the book was funny in parts, but I think some of David Walliams' jokes and amusing characters could have been cleverer. Having started from humble origins, Joe’s father is now a billionaire, and Joe has everything he wants, except true friends.

But the classics give access to a wider style of writing, and perhaps, a more delightful turn of phrase in many cases with vocabulary not so commonly used today but which is great to learn. In 2008 David’s first children’s book The Boy in the Dress was published, illustrated by Quentin Blake.

David and Tony have worked on six bestselling picture books together, and nine of David s phenomenally successful children s novels. The characters were very adventurous also the book made me laugh a lot I would definatly reccomend the book to children aged 9 – 12 for both girls and boys.David began his publishing career at HarperCollins in early 2008 with his debut novel, The Boy in the Dress, followed by Mr Stink in 2009, Billionaire Boy in 2010 and Gangsta Granny in 2011.
