About this deal

I reckon your emphatic recommendation of camping hook-up cables versus domestic cables is misleading, and should be reconsidered.

I had a special low-voltage camping toaster as well, but it was fairly shit and not really worth it! If you did have power at the mains socket then check the mains lead into the Charger unit located by the Leisure battery in the wardrobe/kitchen unit. The general rule here is that you need to have a fuse or breaker that will break before the cable becomes the fuse wire as it were. As I am a lighting/production electrician we refer to these as 16amp C-form connectors and they are widely used in the entertainment industry.

Even at the other end of the scale, though, 16A is the maximum and this is only slightly more than you can wring out of a single domestic mains socket. Last resort was to empty the boot and look at the power supply cable at the converter but it looked okay. uk/15983974/eurohike-mobile-mains-kit-with-usb-15m-15983974 That will provide at least some of the required Residual Current breaker (electrocution mitigation) protection and MCB (fuse protection) of the sockets.

Use and charge multiple devices from the comfort of your tent with this three-socket mains converter kit from Eurohike. We tend to get electric hookup if it's available, but mainly just to charge our phones and put the fan/heater on. Think about where you might place it in the tent, raised off the floor is best, our second one had clips which means it can attach to a steel pole, or table.

Skip and Jump is where all these worlds collide and where like-minded folk can come to say hi and hang out.

Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. This will keep it away from water should you get waterlogged (it can happen without warning sometimes! I've changed my mind though, and come around to the point of view that just wanging a 16A plug on the end of an extension lead might be a tiny bit sketchy and the RCD is a good idea. I live near that site and looked into camping there for short trips years ago when I was a tenter, and the 6A supply put me off.

Even your ‘van’s automatic leisure battery charger can draw an [tl:gallery index=4 size=215×129]samp or two, so it could be worth switching it off when you’re hooked up to a low-amperage supply. What if I have a Crusader V762 Mains Supply Unit with 3 Sockets 15 meter Cable of 10 A but the camp is supplying 16A. Previously it dropped and canvas became baggy at 4-6 days on hookup with the roof up, but I'm at day 5 now so have to wait and see. However, also bear in mind that many devices demand a higher current for a split second when they start up.
